Woman charged with using neighbor's name

A Conyers woman was arrested last week after being caught for giving police her neighbor's name during a traffic stop in May.

Mauricia Boston, 30, was charged with two counts of forgery on July 23 after the neighbor called authorities.

According to a Conyers police report, Boston was "scared" to use her real name when she was pulled over because she had an outstanding warrant from Henry County for a probation violation. Her license had been suspended for two years and the 1993 Toyota she was driving at the time was not registered. The car belonged to neither Boston nor the neighbor.

Boston was arrested and charged with two felony counts of forgery - one for signing the neighbor's name on the original citation and one for signing a witness statement following the initial incident in May. She was also charged with giving a false name to a police officer. The charge of driving an unregistered vehicle still stands but was transferred into Boston's real name.
