Dedrick Turner led Salem to its first Region 8-AAAAA victory Tuesday with 23 points in a 64-45 in at Flowery Branch.

Jamaal Garror added 12 and Michael Johnson had eight points and 13 rebounds, with eight coming on the offensive glass.

The Salem Seminoles (2-1) pressured the Falcons into 30 turnovers in their season opener.

"It was a good way to start out reion play and gets us back on track," Salem coach Noah Harrell said. "I was proud of our effort, but we definetly need to get some early season things fixed."

Salem hosts Winder Barrow Friday.
