Two found dead in Covington home

 Two people found dead in a Newton County house this morning have been identified as Robert Dendy, 44, and Lindene Dendy, 39, though the cause of the deaths is still being investigated.

The couple, believed to be husband and wife, were discovered dead in the house at 265 Stone Ridge Way by a family member, according to Newton County Sheriff's Deputy Cortney Morrison and county Coroner Tommy Davis.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the deaths and autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday morning at the state medical examiner's office, Davis and Morrison said.

The initial call came into dispatch around 7:45 a.m. in reference to a possible suicide.

Stone Ridge Way is located off Flat Shoals Road just south of the Covington Bypass Road.
