Dear Editor: I thought that the Rockdale/Newton counties should know that we have two extraordinary people. They are a married couple who needs to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to their profession in our communities. They are John and Katy King. 

Katy King was named “Teacher of the Year” at Gen. Ray Davis Middle School. And her husband John King was named “Firefighter of the Year” for Newton County Fire Department.

Isn’t that great? They both were winners for their outstanding service, making this married couple notable because they share their time for improving our communities.
