Rockdale County swore in a slate of 10 elected officials Sunday night before a packed audience of hundreds in the Rockdale County Auditorium.

Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein administered the oath of office to the following officials, who won their seats during the 2012 July non-partisan and November general elections:

Phinia Aten, Chief Magistrate Court Judge

Nancy Bills, State Court Judge

Rakeim "RJ" Hadley, Tax Commissioner

Eric Levett, Sheriff

George Levett Jr., Coroner

Charles Mays, Probate Court Judge

Robert F. Mumford, Superior Court Judge

Osborn Nesbitt, Sr., County Commissioner, Post I

Richard A. Oden, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners

Ruth A. Wilson, Clerk of Courts

 

This year's November general elections marked the first time all Democratic candidates won the eight local seats up for election - Chief Magistrate Judge, Tax Commissioner, Sheriff, Coroner, Probate Court Judge, Post I Commissioner, Commission Chairman, Clerk of Courts.

Rockdale County swore in a slate of 10 elected officials Sunday night before a packed audience of hundreds in the Rockdale County Auditorium.

Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein administered the oath of office to the following officials, who won their seats during the 2012 July non-partisan and November general elections:
