IN BRIEF: The first baby of the year for Rockdale County came into the world early but healthy, giving her parents and family a sense of renewed hope. Paytiann Shy-ann Muir was born at 1:45 a.m. weighing 5 lbs, 6 oz at Rockdale Medical Center's Birth Place. She is the third child of TracyAnn Beecher and Payton Muir of Covington and is TracyAnn's fifth child. Baby Paytiann was born two weeks early but is healthy. Beecher had a miscarriage Dec. 30, 2011 and had not planned on getting pregnant again this time, but the Paytiann ended up being born almost exactly a year after the miscarriage. TracyAnn said she is feeling doubly blessed.
