Representative Pam Dickerson and the Rockdale delegation sponsored legislation recognizing three former and current Rockdale County Public Schools students on Tuesday for placing second and third in the world last May at INEPO, the International Environmental Project Olympiad. Alex Mann, Chrystal Brockington, and Johnathan Davis were recognized at the state Capitol.

Brockington and Davis’ project was “The Optimization of Solar Cells Using Quantum Dots and Nanofibers.”

Mann’s project was "Piezoelectric Nanogenerators."

The Olympiad  is a world science fair held since 1993 that challenges students age 13-19 to come up with solutions to protecting the environment. For more information, go to inepo.com/english/index.asp.
