The Atlanta Dream return to Salem High School for its "Take the Show on the Road" program on June 10.

The Atlanta Dream WNBA basketball team will continue its “Take the Show on the Road” program this summer, participating in an open practice at Salem High School on June 10.

The practice will feature the entire Dream roster, including players and coaches, from 6-7:30 p.m.

The event will include a full-team practice, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Dream’s practices.

Atlanta Dream coach Fred Williams joined the Seminoles basketball program earlier this season, serving as a special guest as the Seminoles took on Loganville.

Lady Seminoles coach Rochone Dilligard said that having the Dream come back to Salem was going to be a “special experience.”

“We hosted the Dream in 2012 for the same type of practice and it was a great opportunity for our players to learn what professional players go through,” Dilligard said. “It’s great for the program and the community to have the Dream come out and participate in this event.

“Our players are really excited and we’re hoping to put on another great event,” she said.

The event will include a full-team practice and afterwards fans will have a chance to engage in a question and answer session with the team. The Dream will also host an autograph session and fans can participate in contests with Dream players and coaches for prizes.

Admission to the event is $20 and each ticket purchased for the practice event includes one lower-level ticket to an Atlanta Dream game. Those attending can also upgrade their game ticket to include games against Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minnesota or Phoenix for $30. A donation of $5 for each ticket sold will be given back to the school to help provide equipment and supplies for the Seminoles’ program.

The Dream begins its seventh season in the WMBA May 16 in search of their fourth Eastern Conference Championship and their sixth consecutive playoff appearance. Opening tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. against the San Antonio Stars at Phillips Arena.
