UPDATE: Lookout canceled for Conyers teen

UPDATE: Enida Davis was located safe and sound in Rockdale on Friday morning. A tip given to Davis's mother led Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies to her location where she was staying with an aquaintence. The lookout has been canceled.

Honor Flight 2013 launches

World War II veterans from around the state and their guardians gathered in the wee morning hours at American Legion Post 77 in Conyers for the fifth trip ever of Honor Flight Conyers and the group's first trip of 2013. From there, they departed in an escorted parade of busses to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport where they'll fly to Washington D.C. for the day to visit the World War II memorial and other memorials and sites.

City and County officials were put to work behind the counter of the newly renovated and rebuilt McDonald's at Ga. Highway 138 and Flat Shoals on Tuesday evening. Kaiser Permanente donation helps Rockdale families

Superintendent’s Scholarship Awarded to Three Graduates

A $1,000 Superintendent's Scholarship was awarded to one qualifying senior from each Rockdale County high school who has demonstrated their commitment to achievement and who intends to continue their education at a college or technical school after graduation. Collins Scholarships awarded to four first generation college students
