Darlene Mitchell was this week's winner of the Great Santa Hunt for finding our missing Santa at the playground next to the East View Cemetery in Conyers. CRA Toy Run raises $8K

Conyers Riding Association's 22nd annual Christmas Toy Run on Dec. 1 saw about 300 riders and raised about $8,000 for Rockdale Emergency Relief, which operates a local food pantry and rent/utility relief program.

Sheriff’s Citizen Academy Graduates

Twelve Rockdale residents participated in the second 2012 Citizens Sheriff's Academy, an eight-week course designed to educate the public about the different function of the sheriff's department. Puppies receive donation

Pound Puppies 'N Kittens, Inc., an animal rescue group helping shelters in Newton, Rockdale and Walton counties, recently received a donation of $3,337 from Southern Bicycle League, representing a portion of proceeds from SBL's Covington Century Ride held on Aug. 4 with a record-setting number of participants.
