Rainbow Ministries to distribute free food Dec. 27

The Rainbow Covenant Ministries, of Newton County, will be distributing 40,000 pounds of food from the Atlanta Food Bank Saturday, Dec. 27. Originally the distribution was scheduled for Dec. 20 but postponed due to predicted inclement weather.

Springfield Baptist food giveaway Dec. 16-19

UPDATE: Springfield Baptist's 100,000 pounds of food was fully distributed by Wednesday, Dec. 17. The church was able to sponsor the food for 100 families in need chosen by Rockdale County Public Schools and 100 families chosen by Rockdale Emergency Relief among the families it helped during this quarter's food distribution. SBC holds a free food distribution once every three months.
