After recent success for the Rockdale County High School Basketball program, the alpha-dog state powerhouse Tucker Tigers came charging into Conyers, Ga, to take on the Bulldogs. Tucker made it their house Friday night, as the Lady Tigers and Tigers dominated both games against Rockdale.

RCHS athlete of the week: Jalen Jordan

Jalen Jordan had one of the best dunks of the year so far when he jammed one on a fast-break against Alcovy on Tuesday. Jordan went on to score 18 points in the contest, leading the Bulldogs to a 72-45 win over the Tigers.

Legendary Coach Stroud honored

Legendary Coach Stroud honored

Cleveland Stroud was the first black head coach at Rockdale County High School. He's known for his integrity, something that showed after Stroud reported to the Georgia High School Association that one of his players on the 1987 state championship was ineligible to play because of his grades. The honorable act forced GHSA to strip Rockdale of its 1987 state championship.
